Hotels & Apartments
Most of the hotels offer their best rate through online booking agents such as Booking.com or Expedia. If you have a large group, you could try approaching the hotel directly to see if you can secure a group discount but you will need to be prepared to negotiate quite hard if you are contacting them in the summer months. Most hotels get very busy and book up early so factor this into your planning and tell your guests well in advance, perhaps with your ‘save the date’ communication. You may want to find a hotel that is close to where your wedding will be held, or you may wish to find an area of Malta or Gozo that suits a particular taste. Younger holiday-makers might prefer the nightlife of St Julian’s, St George’s Bay and Paceville, whereas families may prefer to take a farmhouse on Gozo or a villa in Mellieha for example.
